Decrease in Venture Capital Transactions in Digital Currencies!

According to PitchBook’s quarterly report, despite a decrease in the number of venture capital transactions in the digital currency sector last quarter, enthusiasm for this sector remains high. Capital raising in this sector reached $2.7 billion across 503 deals, reflecting a 2.5% increase, although the number of transactions dropped by 12.5%. Robert Le, Senior Analyst at PitchBook, attributed this trend to investors focusing on fewer, higher-quality opportunities. He predicts that capital raising will reach $12 to $14 billion in 2024. Le also expects that three to five blockchains will host most developer and user activities, with DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network) being one of the prominent sectors of this period.
