Indian exchange WazirX hit by a hacking attack!

Hackers Ambush Indian Exchange WazirX: $235 Million Looted!

In a daring attack that shook the digital currency world, hackers infiltrated the popular Indian exchange WazirX and stole massive assets. The blockchain security firm Cyvers Alert sounded the alarm and revealed details of this digital heist.

The spoils of this astounding cyber theft were:
– 5.43 trillion Shiba Inu tokens, beloved by meme coin enthusiasts
– 15,298 Ethereum, the shining star of the smart contract world
– 20.5 million Polygon, and significant amounts of other digital currencies

WazirX, in a swift response, confirmed that one of its multi-signature wallets had been compromised. They immediately halted withdrawals to prevent further damage.

But the story doesn’t end here. Cyvers confidently identified the notorious hacking group Lazarus, closely linked with North Korea, as the primary suspect in this attack. This dangerous group, whose name sends shivers down the spines of digital currency industry players, has plundered over $3 billion from its victims in the past five years. With this performance, Lazarus has established itself as one of the most threatening actors in the cybercrime scene related to digital currencies.

This incident once again emphasizes the vital importance of security in the turbulent world of digital currencies and demonstrates that even the biggest players in this field can succumb to professional hackers.
